Retreat Week 2017

Four times a year, Planning Center's remote employees descend on our Carlsbad office for a week, to collaborate and connect. One of those weeks is called Retreat Week — an extra-special remote week where we celebrate the year's accomplishments and look forward to the year ahead.

Our Commitment to Reliability

Over the past couple weeks, Planning Center’s performance on Sunday mornings has been unacceptable for your standards and ours. As a parent who has stood in long check-in lines and as a former church staff member who has experienced the pain of a slow check-in process first hand, I feel your pain. We let you down, and we’re not taking it lightly. Our entire organization is focused on fixing this problem and regaining your trust.

Family Fun Week 2017

Every three months, Planning Center's remote employees fly in from all over the country to spend a week with the in-office employees. Our Summer Remote Week has a little bit of a twist: activities are centered around creating opportunities for whole family connection, so we call it Family Fun Week—and it's more fun than you can imagine.

Easter Weekend at Planning Center

At Planning Center we want to make sure Easter weekend goes as smoothly as possible. We intentionally don’t push any new code for the weeks leading up to Easter, our Operations team is up and ready to react to anything out of the ordinary, and we over-prepare our servers to handle any potential unexpected loads. Here’s a recap of some fun facts that happened over Easter Weekend.

Double Digits

Ten years ago this week, we set up a booth at the Saddleback Worship Conference in Southern California. That was the first time we announced our existence to the world, and from that week forward, we were officially Planning Center Online. In the last 520 weeks, we have seen consistent and steady growth, as more and more churches sign up. It started with one congregation and grew into tens of thousands.

To give you an idea of what we look like today, here is a quick glance at our stats

A Few Words About Sunday's Downtime

If you use Planning Center Services or Check-Ins, you might have noticed that our sites had some serious reliability and performance issues at just about the worst possible time on Sunday morning, February 21st. Not only did this affect you, our customer, but it affected many of us personally since we rely on Planning Center in our own churches. We take that responsibility very seriously. Your trust means everything to us, and here's some changes we're implementing so that we can keep that trus
