Every church has a “what’s happening” list — events, volunteer opportunities, things people need to know this week. At your church, you may be sharing this information through some combination of a paper bulletin, slides, email, social posts, and webpages.
But to share it in Church Center, you either had to manually configure a custom page to bring together all the pieces or you had to direct people to each section of the app individually — go here to sign up; go there to ask for prayer.
With announcements in Publishing, now you can easily create a simple, centralized “what’s happening” page for your congregation.
In Publishing > Content, you’ll see a new tab for Announcements:

From that tab, you can create your announcement items. Each item has:
Title
Image (optional)
Summary (optional)
Link to a Church Center page or external URL
You can also choose when to show and hide the announcement in the announcements list (5) and assign the announcement to campuses and categories (6).

To link Church Center content, you don’t need to grab your link ahead of time — search for pages, sermons, forms, groups, signups, and events right from Publishing!

From the announcements page in Pages > Announcements, you can preview the page and change the page layout. Announcements are sorted from newest to oldest, with featured items on top.

Tap the View button to see your announcements page on Church Center!

When you’re ready, you can add your announcements page to your Church Center navigation from the Customize tab.
