Think about everything a profile in People holds: membership type, baptism dates, volunteer training, T-shirt sizes, ministry interests — the list goes on. These details aren’t just data points. They fuel your workflows , lists , and automations , and they help your team care for people well.

But outdated profiles create gaps — missed opportunities to connect, care, and engage. Forms are a start, but what about when someone needs to update information later? Or when families want to view and manage details for household members?

Now you can choose which custom fields are shown to congregants on Church Center — and which of those fields they can update for themselves and their household members!

From the People tab, tap the ⚙️ and navigate to your Church Center settings.

From there, you can select which custom fields to include and whether each field can be viewed, added if blank, or edited.

You’ll also see some new settings for built-in profile fields. You can customize whether profile photos, grades, and birthdates are editable, and you can choose to include membership type and campus!

On Church Center, you’ll find a new unified experience for editing both your profile and your household members. Household adults can edit anyone in their household; children age 13+ can only edit themselves.

To make it easy for your congregation to access this page, we have a new link for you to share in your emails, social posts, and custom pages. Just replace “mychurch” with your Church Center subdomain:

https://mychurch.churchcenter.com/me/profile-and-household

If they have the Church Center app, this link will open the app and take them straight to the profile and household page. If not, it will open in their web browser, and they will be taken to their profile and household as soon as they log in.

We hope these updates make it easier for you to keep your database up-to-date — and care well for your people.
