Email notifications when new apps connect

When a user in your org connects a new app for the first time — a third-party tool, an AI integration like MCP — all Organization Admins get an email with:

  • App name and description

  • Who connected it (name and email)

  • What data the app can access (the scopes granted)

  • A "Review or disconnect" link back to the Integrations page

You'll receive one email per app, not per person. Subsequent connections of that same app by other users don't retrigger another email, and you can manage access from the Integrations page.

Per-app access controls

On Account Settings → Integrations → External Connections, you can now set an access mode for each connected app:

  • All users (default) — any user in your org can connect.

  • Admins only — only Organization Admins can connect.

  • Specific users — you choose the exact users who can connect.

Users who try to connect a restricted app see a clear message: "[App] access in [your org] is currently restricted by your Organization Admin. Contact your Organization Admin to request access."

Access mode changes are available for existing connections too. When you switch to a more restrictive mode (Admins only or Specific users), you'll see a warning listing which existing users would lose access — confirm to revoke their access, or cancel the change.

Why we made this change

AI tools, MCP integrations, and third-party apps are connecting to Planning Center faster than most admins can track manually. Email alerts surface new connections in real time, and access controls let you decide who's allowed to connect each app going forward.
