The legacy 84321 short code, previously used for Text2Give, will be fully retired and no longer supported beginning March 4, 2026.
As a reminder, 84321 has not accepted donations since June 2, 2025. Due to updated mobile carrier regulations, we transitioned text giving to dedicated 10-digit phone numbers for each church.
Over the past several months, we’ve kept 84321 active (despite not processing donations) to help guide donors to either:
their dedicated Text2Give phone number
their Church Center giving page
Recent communication
On February 3, 2026, an email notice was sent to all Giving Administrators at churches with Text2Give enabled outlining these changes.
We also updated the automated reply sent to anyone who texts 84321, so donors are informed that the number will no longer be active beginning March 4.
What happens on March 4?
Starting March 4, 2026, messages sent to 84321 will fail. Depending on the carrier, donors may see error messages such as:
Unreachable destination handset (most common)
Message filtered or blocked
Unknown error
What this means for your church
If you already have a dedicated phone number: No action is needed.
If you do not have a dedicated phone number: You can register for a dedicated Text2Give number at any time. This allows donors to continue giving via text using a number unique to your church. Alternatively, you can use one of our other options for sharing your donation form.
