If your church is subscribed to Groups or Services, the chat icon now appears for everyone at your organization across Church Center app, Church center web, Services mobile, and the admin web toolbar. Before, the icon only showed for certain people depending on their account, which sometimes led to confusion when one person could see it and another couldn't.

Showing it consistently means your congregants always have a way in. Anyone who taps in before they have any conversations will see a short message letting them know what to expect, and anyone who can start a conversation will see how to do it. If someone isn't old enough for chat, they'll get a clear explanation rather than the icon simply disappearing.

You may hear from congregants who are seeing the icon for the first time. It's a good moment to point them toward the groups or teams that are already chatting.
