Many admins manage groups that follow a familiar structure—similar settings, meeting times, or locations—but with just enough differences to make starting from scratch time-consuming. With the new Duplicate groups feature, you can create a new group based on an existing one, choosing exactly what to copy and what to change. It’s a flexible, time-saving way to spin up new groups in minutes instead of hours, just in time for the fall group season!
How does it work?
You can choose to duplicate any group from the new Actions button in a group.
That shows a menu with all the items that can be duplicated, as well as options to change the name or group type.
Examples
Seasonal: When small groups follow a seasonal rhythm—like launching each spring and fall—duplicating a previous group saves time and preserves consistency. Instead of rebuilding from scratch, admins can copy over meeting details, settings, and resources, then tweak what's needed for the new season. It’s a faster, more reliable way to launch the next round without missing a step.
Demographic: If a ministry runs the same content for different demographics, like a men’s and women’s Bible study, duplication makes setup effortless. You can reuse the schedule, materials, and structure—just swap out the leader/members, group name/description—saving hours of manual re-entry and keeping things consistent across groups.
Different meeting times: When offering the same group content at different times—like a morning and evening option—duplication is a huge time-saver. You can copy the group’s structure, then make quick edits to the meeting time or description. It’s perfect for churches offering flexible schedules while keeping the experience aligned.
Why is this awesome?
Because it turns hours of repetitive setup into just a few clicks. Whether you're launching a new season of small groups, duplicating discussion groups, or organizing group events with similar structures, this feature helps you move faster and with less friction. You stay in control—choosing exactly what gets copied—so every new group starts with a solid foundation.
Don’t recreate—duplicate!
