You can now connect to supported Zebra printers directly from the Check-Ins mobile app on both iOS and Android. This means your desktop and mobile stations can use the same Zebra hardware and label stock, delivering a consistent check-in experience everywhere.

What's supported?

iOS

  • ZD421 (all wireless models)

Note: With iOS, we believe any Zebra desktop or mobile printer capable of printing a 3x2 label should work, but the above model has been confirmed. If you have a different model you’d like to test with, give it a try! 

Android

  • ZD421d & ZD421t

  • ZQ620

Note: Not every Zebra model works with Android by default. If your model isn’t listed above, write in to support and let us know! We may be able to help.

Labels: 

  • Planning Center Zebra label templates are designed to work only with 3x2 labels .

How do I connect?

Step 1: Connect your printer to your device

  1. You can connect to Zebra printers from your device using either a bluetooth or wifi connection. For exact steps, follow the device instructions found in the box or on the zebra support center site .

Step 2: Select your printer in Check-Ins

  1. Once your printer is connected to your device, navigate to the "Discovered Printers" section in your Check-Ins printer setting, and select the printer.

Extra tips:

  • Wireless varies by ZD420/ZD421. Some have Wi-Fi/Bluetooth built in, some don’t. If yours doesn’t, you may need an add-on wireless module . Zebra Support can help you choose the right one if you are unsure what model you have! Some older models do not support the module.

  • Mobile Zebra models connect easier (in our testing). If you’re buying new printers soon and are considering Zebra, a mobile model (such as the ZQ621) may be a smoother option.
