Today, we’re introducing a highly requested feature: the ability to send emails in People with custom senders. With this change, admins can now choose a custom name and reply-to email address to send on behalf of individuals (like a pastor) or to represent a ministry (like Youth Ministry).
How it works
This new option is under the gear icon in People > “Email settings”:

Add a sender: Provide a name and email. We’ll send a verification email to ensure the address is valid and has consent. All emails will come from
mailer@churchcenteronline.com; these settings affect the name display and the reply-to address. - Manage access: Choose which admins can use each sender. Managers have access to all custom senders.
- Use custom senders: Verified senders are available when emailing from lists, profiles, and bulk operations.
- Communication history: The Communication tab shows all emails sent with custom senders, showing which admin sent the email and the custom sender used.
Bonus: Improved church email handling
We’re also integrating church emails into this infrastructure—you can now manage who can use the church email or change the email from what’s available in accounts.
