As churches grow and expand across multiple campuses, keeping groups organized can become a real challenge. To help, we’re thrilled to introduce campus organization, filters, and display—making it easier than ever to manage groups across your campuses and serve your people right where they are!
These changes are out on the Groups admin side today, and the Church Center changes will be released on June 17th. (If you are already using tags for campus assignments, you will want make these updates)
How does it work?
Church campuses from account settings will automatically show up in Groups/Settings so they can be assigned to groups from the Campus section:
You can also use Bulk edit to easily assign multiple groups to a campus:
Once a campus is assigned to a group, it will show up on the admin side in the filters for groups, reports and calendar.
This new campus filter will also display on Church Center (on June 17th), allowing your congregants to filter by groups on the campuses they choose.
Mapping existing campus tags to the new field using bulk edit
If you have an existing tag group for campus, we recommend you:
- Update all of your groups to be assigned to this new campus field, using bulk edit.
- Once the church center changes are released on June 17th, you can turn off your old campus tag in the tags section by turning off the Display on Church Center setting, and then Deleting the tag group once you are ready, this way congregants only see 1 Campus filter option.
This new campus field is always displayed on Church Center, so you’ll want to make sure to assign as many groups as you can to a campus, ideally all of them.

These groups will display when no filters are selected on Church Center, but ideally you want to assign every group to a campus to ensure maximum visibility to your congregants.
