New: Campus support for recurring donations and pledge campaigns

We’ve made it easier to support multi-campus tracking for recurring donations and pledge campaigns. Following the release of the campus selector on the donation form, you can now edit or bulk-edit campus information for recurring donations and assign a campus to your pledge campaigns.

Campus support for recurring donations

Donors can now assign a campus on their recurring donations in Church Center, as shown in the screenshot above, and Giving administrators can set a campus on individual recurring donation schedules in Planning Center.

In addition, admins can update the fund and campus fields across all recurring donation schedules using the bulk edit donations tool.

Campus support for pledge campaigns

Pledge campaigns now also support campus assignments. Create separate campaigns and set the campus field when multiple locations are raising toward the same fund. Only donations with a matching campus count toward each campaign's goal.

Enable campus selector on donation forms

You can turn on campus support for recurring donations and pledge campaigns by enabling the campus selector in the donation form settings.

With this setting enabled, donors will see a campus field on the donation form in Church Center. See this update note for more information.

Use consolidated funds instead of campus-specific funds

If you've been using campus-specific funds as a workaround to track multi-campus donations, the bulk edit tool can help you migrate those donations and recurring donation schedules into a consolidated fund. For setup steps and migration guidance, see Use Giving for multi-campus churches.

New: Planning Center is now in the Claude connectors directory

Planning Center is now available in the Claude connectors directory. You can find it by searching "Planning Center" in the directory.

This means connecting is even easier. No need to manually configure the server URL. Just add Planning Center from the connectors directory, sign in with your Planning Center account, and start asking questions.

Ask questions about People, Services, Groups, and Registrations

Once connected, Claude can work with data across four Planning Center products. Look up a person's profile, see who's scheduled to serve this Sunday, check group memberships, or review registration signups. You can even ask cross-product questions like "Who's scheduled to serve this Sunday but isn't in a small group?"

Your data is secure

Only people with a Planning Center login can connect, and they'll only see data their Planning Center permissions allow. When you connect, you choose exactly which products to share. This doesn't open up any new access to anyone.

Keeping your private data private

By default, Anthropic may use your conversations to improve their models, which could include personal information from Planning Center. We recommend turning this off. In Claude, go to Settings > Privacy and disable model training.

New: Create custom fields during imports, visual refresh, and more

Create custom fields during imports

When we shipped auto-creating field options during imports, we tackled one of the biggest friction points in the import process: having to pre-create every dropdown option before your CSV would import cleanly. Today, we're going further.

Previously, if your CSV had columns that didn't map to any existing field in People, you had to leave the import, go set up each custom field and tab, then come back and start over. For churches migrating from another system, that could mean creating 15+ custom fields across several tabs before even getting to the actual import. And if you missed one or misspelled one, that meant profiles with that data would be silently ignored—not great!

Now, on the Match fields step, when you hit a column that doesn't have a matching field, you can pick "Create new field" right from the Planning Center field dropdown. You'll give it a name (pre-filled from your column header), choose a field type, and assign it to an existing or new tab. For dropdown and checkbox fields, we'll automatically create the options based on the values in your CSV.

We support all custom field types except File and Section Header. Fields aren't actually created until you finalize the import, so you can tweak and adjust as needed.

Redesign to highlight matched and unmatched columns

The import flow was due for a fresh coat of paint to match our current design language, and we took the opportunity to make field matching easier to read — it's now much clearer at a glance which columns are matched and which are not.

A few more import improvements

Alongside the headline changes, we smoothed out a few more things:

More flexible formatting handling — multi-select columns, like checkbox fields, can now be separated with pipes, semicolons, or line breaks.
Automatic name and city/state splitting — importing a single full-name or city/state column? We now have options to split it into first and last name, or city and state, for you.
Smarter matching — we now recognize more common column names from other systems, so more of your fields line up automatically.

We hope this cuts down the time you spend on initial (and subsequent) data imports. If there are other parts of the import process you'd love to see smoothed out, we'd love to hear it!

Improved: Attachments on workflow email replies

NOTE: We've identified a bug in this feature, and we've disabled it for now until we have a fix.

You can now see attachments that someone includes when they reply to a workflow-generated email.

How it works

When an inbound workflow email reply includes an attachment, that file will appear on the corresponding email inside the workflow card. Attachments are limited to 10MB each—if someone sends a larger file, they’ll automatically get an email back letting them know the attachment was too big.
